iPad Air 5 battery is draining fast. After watching Netflix, about 2 and a half hours, my battery was already down to 40% from a charge of 100%. I have noticed that the life of the battery did not seem to match my last iPad Air 3 since I received it. Is this OS related?

Maybe this will help someone else, in my case it turned out to be a bad sensor in the ipad air that caused the battery to drain very fast. I think it was the internal barometer. The diagnostic tool at the Apple store was able to find. Anyhow, a good test to see is even turning off wifi and not having the screen turned on - the ipad would still use up most of the battery in a day. For a frame of reference, a new ipad air 5th gen should be able to go multiple days with normal use - hours of browsing, watching videos etc..

When I watch streams it on MeetMe app or YouTube the battery drains I don't know why that happens.

Same here and I do think it’s because of the new update because the first day I got this iPad i hadn’t charged it for 3 day was using it a fair bit it still had around 20% but now when I do anything on it for a long period of time it just drains so quickly that in 3 hours I go from 68% to now 15% Apple please fix
My iPad Air 5 only lasts 4 hours and I only use it to read books offline. Spent awhile on the phone with Apple and then went to see a genius. Did all the recommended stuff but no change. So very disappointed with this PoS…

Exactly same for me and so disappointing. My ipad feels so hot after 30 min of Procreate... I dont need the power of M processors but I absolutely need long battery life (like my previous ipads...) so I am a lost for next purchase.
Update: The Apple store ordered me a replacement iPad. Unfortunately it is not new, refurbished. I hate that I paid full price three months ago and it has been a POS since day one but I didn’t realize it until after the return window. I guess I should look at refurbished products in the future since Apple Care+ fine print gives them the option of replacing new with refurbished. Hopefully this refurbished one has been thoroughly tested and will work correctly. This experience is worse than when I purchased my first macbook with the butterfly keyboard they discontinued three years after I bought mine. I’ve bought many Apple products but I seem to gravitate toward the ones with design or production flaws…
Some folks in this forum said resetting all the settings solved their problem of battery drainage. So, I also did the same(reset all settings) thrice but all my efforts went in vain. No improvement at all.

My iPad Air 5 has had suspect battery life since day 1. I updated mine and my wife's and noticed less battery life than Gen 4. Last night, after a full charge, I decided to unplug it. This morning, I woke up to a fully discharged iPad. Come on Apple. Observe the perfect slope of the battery discharge last night. Something is seriously wrong here.
My mistake. Not enough coffee in me yet today and thought it was on iPhone!
Same , Upgraded from An Air 3 ( which had the blank screen of death ) ..
and now again after spending so mich money . This air 5 has battery issues .

Same problem. New Ipad Air 5, lucky to get 4 hours on the battery, mix of Email, Facebook (Admin in Groups), reading News etc. Have done all Battery saving recommendations. Very frustrating.
iPad Air 5 battery life is horrible, returned it less than a week after purchase. My 5 years old iPad 5th gen will have to old up until Apple do their homework!
Yes, it's really hard to get a good pattern of what you can expect within 14-days; especially when you loose a few days getting it and setting it up
