I had this same problem. I just talked to an Apple Support agent and then their senior advisor and they pretty much just said that you need to download a few at a time in order for it to work and there's no way to fix it. On my computer, I wasn't able to download more than 30 at a time which seems ridiculous, especially since they list a limit of 1,000 photos being downloaded at once on iCloud. I have over 9k photos to download so it will take forever to get those downloaded. Perhaps the limit is intended to make it more difficult to keep your photos outside of iCloud.

Same issue here - I'm on Windows 11 and I am only able to download 3 photos at once...attempt anymore and it brings up the same  "Waiting for ‘webcourier.push.apple.com’ message". Videos will only download singly. Again, like others I am used to simply selecting as many photo or video files as I like and have them all placed into a zipped folder...FIX IT PLEASE!

I am observing that users on Mac, Windows 10, and Windows 11 are all having the same problem. I too could download a lot of photos at once, up to stated limit for as long as I have had iCloud - for years. A week or so ago I started having the "webcourier" problem. Earlier today could download 30 photos, then this evening 6, then none at all. This is a MAJOR problem. Few things are more important to people then their photos. That is what people grab when fleeing their home in a disaster. Apple YOU NEED TO FIX THIS.

A mesma mensagem apareceu. Eu preciso baixar cerca de 10.000 das minhas fotos.

Por favor, corrija este problema o mais rápido possível. Do jeito que está, estou pagando pelo armazenamento do iCloud, mas minhas fotos estão bloqueadas no iCloud.

Its the same all round, Apple are making it so you HAVE to buy an apple laptop to actually use their device. It's anti-competitive as fcuk, and they can do whatever they want. Surely when you pay for a service that can host 2Tb of files, i think most people would assume that its not reasonable to download them 10 at a time. Hey, they could make the acutal app better. indeed even semi functional, but no, fcuk you you PC user. The fact that this whole scam isnt illigal, astounds me!

I think I may have found a solution for this. I'm not sure if it was a setting I changed but all of my iCloud photos are now downloading directly to my pc. I received a pop up when I was in iCloud it said that all my photos are being directly stored to my computer. Go to C:\Users\username\iCloudPhotos\Photos and every single iCloud photo I have was sent there. Its a huge mess as I deal with thousands of photos a week but I was able to find the photos I needed for today and save them to a folder

Same problrm:(

The downloading pictures, it worked wonderfully until a week ago, do not understand what happened it looks like a bug in the system, once lets download 10 pictures once one picture, and once not at all!

Please urgently take care of the malfunction we pay quite a bit of money for the storage,

I urgently need to download pictures and I do not intend to sit for hours downloading a single picture at a time!

And I do not understand why the support does not respond here!

It's really irresponsible!

I’m having the same problem. 😡😡

Apple,

Seriously? You have GOT to fix this. You know your customers have TOOOONS of pictures. Make it so we can download as many as we want at a time! And certainly fix this error! This is ridiculous. You are smart enough to make a phone with endless amount of functions. You’ve to go be smart enough to fix this.

Found a workaround, sort of - I connect my iPhone through USB and go in through File Explorer and access the DCIM folder. There pics are in sub folders by month, which is what I wanted in the first place. I move them off to my C: drive using regular Windows copy / paste / delete and there you go. Still, it would be nice if Apple's functionality worked the way it's supposed to, especially when people are paying for it at levels higher that 5GB. So Apple - again, please fix this!

I tried that but I don't have a folder that's called icloud photos. I talked to Apple care twice and to Microsoft twice and nobody found anything wrong. Microsoft put several updates on my computer and I couldn't use my keyboard afterwards and had to uninstall the last update to get it working again. Nobody seems to even have heard of this problem. Apple gave me a link to a Microsoft help page where it said that I should download my photos via Microsoft Photos. I did that in the past and hated it because it often didn't work because it didn't find my phone and if it worked, it never downloaded all of my photos. But I was desperate so I tried it again now. It downloaded 2000 photos even though there are looooots more in my icloud. Microsoft then told me that Microsoft Photos isn't a download app but they didn't tell me what IS. This is so frustrating and annoying. I've spent so much in the Apple care hotline and the Microsoft CHAT (!!!! I don't get it why there is no phone service available because of the big C) and still my photos are "being held hostage" as somebody here said so.
