"Other" storage taking up 80GB on my macbook

I have so little storage left that I can't even update my laptop to Monterey. When I look at the storage breakdown, the 'other' category takes up 80GB of 121GB. I have gone through the suggested actions and deleted games that were taking up a lot of space, but I don't know what else I can do to have more storage. Can I clear any space in the 'other' category? What can I do?

Thank you for the screenshot.

Troubleshooting "Other" Storage:

About "Other" Storage Type:

Try the following, seeing if you need to remove some system data: What is “Other” storage on a Mac, and how can I clean it out? - User Tip

To Rid of "Other":

On an iPhone, you'd remove Other by backing up the iPhone, and then restoring the iPhone from the backup***. So, try the same on your Mac: Back up your Mac with Time Machine, and then restore your Mac from the Backup. Report back if it works.

"I have this problem too, and I'd like to know how I stop all these files from being saved in the first place too!"

The Answer: Don't use your device and leave it powered off.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know how these items are created. So, stop using the device, and all should stop. If you want to t clear them, then perform as I've instructed above.
