Can't sync Iphone with PC

So I'm trying to sync my phone with my PC so I can download my MP3 files on my phone, but it won't let me without updating my phone, and the update fails for an unspecified reason :[ It's the current version of itunes on my computer, and it's an Iphone 7+.

See If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. If you're trying to update using iTunes try over the air instead, or vice versa.


Note if you're getting a -4000 error when updating from iTunes you need to remove your device passcode, update, then enable again afterwards.
