iCloud Strange Log-out occurance

Hello,

Since yesterday I've been having trouble uploading things to my iCloud, yet thinking my WiFi was acting up, I did not think much off it.

But, having the same trouble today, I checked my System Preferences and noticed that for some reason I'd been logged out of my iCloud and needed to verify my password.

Naturally, I did so—however, every time I hit enter, the password gets accepted and then instantaneously logs me out again.

I tried signing out and signing in again; once more, my login credentials get accepted, but instantly log me out in seconds.

Anyone know how to fix this, as I use my iCloud constantly to ferry files between my iMac and my iPad, and this is not a happy situation.

As extra notes, I do not have any 2-factor identification enabled, I signed out and restarted my iMac before signing in again, and thus far have no troubles accessing the iCloud drive on my iPad.

Thanks so much for any assistance,

Kind regards,

Kimberly J.

Download the Apple Intermediate Certificates

  • Double click the downloaded certificate to install it in Keychain Access.

Try to log in to iCloud after that, should work.

Sugestions in this article include:

  • Drag and drop the certificate to login keychain.
  • Close the Keychain Application and double click the certificate.

You should check your User System preferences to check if you are he Admin of the computer, if not check the box: Allow user to administer this computer.

Hi, thanks so much for the reply!

Upon trying, I received this message from Keychain Access:

To change whether a root certificate is trusted, open it in Keychain Access and modify its Trust Settings. New root certificates should be added to the login keychain for the current user, or to the System keychain if they are to be shared by all users of this machine.

I'm afraid I'm a noob when it comes to this, as I've never done anything like this before. Any tips?
