Control Sony projector on/off

I have a system with an A/V receiver, Apple TV 4K (new version), and a Sony video projector. The Sony projector does NOT support CEC. How can I program the Siri remote to power on/off the projector using IR, but control everything else using CEC ?

Will the new Siri remote have the ability to learn IR codes for the Power button? The old black Siri remote can only learn IR codes for Volume Will the new Siri remote have the ability to learn IR codes for the Power button? The old black Siri remote can only learn IR codes for Volume Up and Down. Asking for non HDMI-CEC TVs and Receivers. I know that it works automatically if your equipment has HDMI CEC.

Without CEC it's not going to work, I would recommend getting a HT remote that can control all of your device. There are many models available from Logitech in many price ranges.
