The Express Travel feature is not yet supported in Singapore and is depicted with an asterisk for countries that are supported.

Hopefully it’ll come soon as I too use it for Bus and Train rides.

Hi there, i guess the list is not updated because i have seen it with my own eyes that many passengers in Singapore on boarding buses and trains just simply tapping their iphone or Apple Watch without having to double click the side button. I also saw someone using Apple Pay without having to double click the side button. Please check and confirm. Thanks.

I've turned on Express mode on both my iPhone 13 Pro and my Apple Watch. It still requires face ID to unlock and double pressing of the button on my watch. I've seen many commuters using their Apple Watch to tap in and out of the gantry without having to double press the button.

They could probably already double press side button before they came close to the reader. With accessibility customizations, they could even achieve that with single/double pinch/clench using the hand wearing watch alone without having to use the other hand to press

I am facing the same issue for iphone12 pro. The express transit card does pop out near a reader from Singapore train/bus system.

Got the same issue. How to fix the not working travel on setting. Pretty annoying.

I have just tested it @ Lavender Mrt. It will pop up the card but still need to unlock. Probably they unlock when walking to the gantry.

Add remove travel express nothing works. Samsung pay better

"How to set Express Mode for transit on your iPhone

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
3. Tap Express Transit Card.
4. Select a transit or other payment card and autheticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode."

Try deselecting the card, switching off the iPhone and setting the card up for Express Mode again. Let us know what happens when you use it again.

same problem here. I tried the suggested steps and it didn't work.

the problem is when I tap on mrt or the buses, it uses my default card (and asks for authentication). It doesn't use the express card

The article is updated in Oct 2021. You might want to contact LTA directly instead for this.

I have contacted support and they also advised to contact local transport places for more clarity. Other than that, you’ll still need to authenticate as I am also doing that daily when commuting.

I’ve seen that, too and I asked one of my Singaporean friends about it, they said they either have prepaid NETS card or EZ travel card installed on their phone which doesn’t require Face Id or passcode to unlock.

The express function is not available/supported in Singapore on Apple's Wallet.. Unfortunately..

I think largely because credit card is used and all credit card should require authentication due to the large credit limits.

Most express cards uses transport cards such as suica, oyster etc.

I reckon EZ-Link will be possible, if they ever get it done.

Try this:

go to Settings

open Face ID & Passcode

enter your PIN to continue

turn off Wallet & Apple Pay

test it out, cheers!
