Apple Pages on Mac mini

page numbering stuck at 1. It's page one on every single document page.

I'm guessing you typed the number 1 into a header box or a footer box on one page in the document.


Entered by typing it in results in a fixed value that has no relationship with the individual pages, and which will display the same value on every page.


Click on the box where you want the page number to be shown, then

click the "Insert Page Number" control that appears.


.and click again on the new control to show which of the possible formats to use for the page numbers.
