my mac book pro screen is darkening to a blue. I have to turn it off and back on to get it to work. Seems to happen when the computer is moved even slightly. What could the problem be?

I have a macbook pro. The screen has started to go to a dark blue. The keypad remains lit up. The only way to get it to work again is to turn it off and log in again. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? It happens when the computer is moved even a very little bit. When its on a table and not being touched it doesn't seem to happen
