Hi, I have a MBP 14" 2021 on macOS Monterey 12.1m, M1 pro chip.
Strangely enough the battery optimizing suddenly stopped. Initially it kept my MBP on 80% for several months but now I have had the function on since long and it still always charges at 100%. Is there a way to get to the optimizing 80% level again? This clever function seems to have a glitch.

Thanks for quick reply but that answer was not really helpful.
So there is no way to get my MBP to keep the 80% level charge? I stay stationary most of the time and keep the charger connected. You state that the 80% will prolong battery life but since that level never seems to happen again I fear it will be detrimental to the battery long term.

You battery has learned your habits and will now properly charge to 100%.
