Get back flags (or custom icons) for input sources for quick switch and differentiation

With recent update Monterey 12.4 the flag, which was super easy to navigate was removed for all languages (example: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253688884), looks like, because of russian "people".

The flag or icon add additional user experience, and people easy can see what input source is enabled.

Now (without icons) even with 2 monitors it always require additional concentration on Status Bar and small text there.

I would suggest get back flags (which can be enabled optionally) or custom icons to quick differentiation of input sources.

Since the Apple product teams do not participate here, and you have already submitted your feedback, there is nothing more to be done here beyond the recommendations for third-party tool solutions that you have already received. We are fellow users and cannot fix common sense issues infesting the product team that thought removing the flag coloration would not matter to users.
