The normal behavior of this feature should be to keep the charge at 80% for most of the time, however even if I use my MB mainly connected with its power supply, the battery is always at 100%. This is a problem that has been happening for about 2 months now because everything was working correctly before. What can this depend on and how can I solve it? Thanks.

You do not have to micro manage the battery or battery charging. Full stop.
If you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on battery only.
See what happens after 2 more months and report back.
