Outlook for Mac email draft disappears while typing

Hi,

Up until recently, MS Outlook was working perfectly on my Macbook Air M1 2020 (macOS Monterey v12.3) and iMac (late 2012 model running macOS Catalina v15.1). After updating to Outlook v16.1 (22050700), however, the email drafts, whether a new one or a reply, simply disappear while typing. This is very annoying. The last saved draft still remains saved but the few words typed after the last saved draft get lost. This has been happening increasingly more frequently now, sometimes even 3-4 times while writing an email. Does not happen on Outlook 365 on the web or Outlook on Windows.

Is anyone else experiencing the same?

Note: I am using the `New Outlook` (the fancy version). Could that be an issue?

Not the best solution but if you go to Outlook Preferences - Composing and select the 'Open new message and replies in a separate window' this works.
