Persistent passwords window on desktop

I have a 2019 Macbook Pro running Big Sur 11.6.5 Big Sur. A window labelled "Passwords..." which is otherwise blank appears on my desktop, cannot be hidden, closed or moved and only disappears after shutting down. I have tried all the fixes I found in this community forum, and elsewhere and cannot resolve the issue. The window appears in the foreground of every other working window, and is annoying. Has only happened with Big Sur. Any help out there?

I can't believe it worked! I downloaded Etrecheck before I started in safe mode, just to see, and there were several minor issues that I removed. Then I started in safe mode, then restarted. No more pesky window! Thanks!
