I got a new iPhone 13 a few days ago, and I have noticed that wireless CarPlay disconnects at the same point on my daily commute each day. I drive this way everyday and this never happened when I had my old phone which was an iPhone 11.

For wireless apple car play disconnection, Go to:
General -> Cellular -> [your_phone_number] -> Voice and Data -> Select 4G or LTE
My issue is when I have 5G Auto or 5G On it was disconnecting all the time.
Apple, fix this issue. The issue is when 5G is on. And probably some interference with Bluetooth.

I think this is a microwave issue. A lot of cities are installing microwave in new buildings to reduce or eliminate infrastructure costs for internet. If you’ve ever been on a Bluetooth headset and started your home microwave, you may have lost signal. I don’t know the exact radio physics, but it’s a correlation I think should be investigated.
Hahahaha does no one here realize it's the massive powerlines running underground at these locations causing massive interference. Go walk past these locations with airpods, same thing will happen.

Were you able to find the answer to the problem? I have the same problem in two different locations, every time I am there it disconnects or skips heavily.
2022 Audi. Audio starts skipping while the screen lags and eventually goes black and the audio stops. Takes about 45 seconds to get back to normal. Can reproduce at will.
The only solution is to have your cel provider improve their coverage at that location.
For me it’s when the phone is also plugged into the car.
In my case which is the same problem, the location where it happens is in the city where the carrier cellphone coverage is no issue. I'm thinking there is some cell tower or other radio interference
It happens on all iPhone models. My location is along highway 121/183 in the Hurst Euless Bedford area of North Texas. It happens to everyone. I’m my 2022 Ford F-150 and my 2021 BMW X4
Yes it’s the phone, and getting a wired connection will not fix it! I only connect CarPlay with a USB cable, and it keeps disconnecting on the same spots.
Upgraded to iPhone 14 pro with IOS 16 and it’s still happening to me at the same area of my commute. Super frustrating, comical they’re trying to take over the full function of the car in future releases and they cant get it to reliably steam music. Le sigh. Using USB ONLY for the foreseeable future. Thanks apple!
I have the exact same issue, in the exact same spot, going North on 75, it’s starts getting spotty at Campbell, and it full on crashes at Galatyn. I’ve spent time on the phone with Apple, Kenwood & AT&T, and none of them seem to know anything.
Right when you are coming up to 35? This is the other spot I have problems with it, and it really sucks, cause I don’t know that side of town. The first couple times it happened over there, I had to go 121 to 35 South, to 30 West, which is in pretty quick succession, I totally got lost.
This happens to me iPhone 12 pioneer head unit. Apple CarPlay crashes same location every day and traveling either direction. I do lots of different trips over different time lengths and no issue. Unless I pass this location. Sometimes CarPlay reboots on its own but not usually. Most of the time it can not be restarted at all, but can use the Bluetooth function to stream from the phone ok just not using CarPlay. Thanks 🙏
This happens to me as well, but I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. It only happens at one specific intersection in my city, but it happens every single time. Something in the area must interfere with the Bluetooth or WiFi signal…
I have exactly same issue. It happens on the exact spot on a particular commute on the highway and it has nothing to do with time because it happens when I return home which is much longer than when I leave home.
