Wireless Carplay disconnects at the same place on my commute with new iPhone 13

I have the same problem, Carplay disconnects at the same place and several places on my commute. I have a iPhone 14 Pro Max, a new car also. It is all new hardware and the issue continues to this date.

I’ve had this constantly happening with my wireless car play in my 22’ Ford Bronco (at Campbell Rd in Richardson, TX). I recently traded for a 22’ Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the wireless car play does NOT disconnect in the same place anymore. I wonder if it a Ford issue rather than an Apple issue?

My 2021 Kia Sorento does the same thing in the exact location on 75. I also have an iPhone 13 Pro as well. In other vehicles it didn’t happen to me so i don’t get it. We have a 2023 Mazda CX 9 and it works fine. Also on my in laws highlander. I honestly thought it was just my Kia until I seen this post

this ia happening in wired connections as well, I have an iPhone 14 pro max, and I’m having the same issue! And Apple doesn’t seem to care about that issue. I’ve talked to them sooooo many times! And they came to the conclusion that nothing is wrong

I don’t think it’s the phone- my iPhone 11 does the very exact thing but I find it is getting much worse. I thought it was the carrier but I now think it is the ubiquity of Bluetooth devices & the increasing popularity with streaming which adds to interference along with more powerful routers. The solution: find some wired speakers for your car, that or wired headphones, however the latter is often illegal (we need to hear emergency vehicles when we’re driving).

Same thing has happened to me for a few years, across my iPhone 11 and 13. Seems like the location has changed slightly, recently. On the same road, but now happens about 2 miles closer than before. It re-connects a little quicker in the new spot.

I have the same problem! I live in Highland and it 100% of the time drops out (on two of our cars with wireless CarPlay) on that stretch of SR-92! Apple needs to make their wireless stack more resilient *and* we need to ask Lehi why there’s such interference in that area!

I have been assuming it's something the hospital is doing, but yeah, same place each time I drive by it disconnects. I might put in a request with that CH 7 traffic guy that does that segment on what's frustrating drivers.

My exact experience as well. Did apple ever get a fix? It's dangerous while driving trying to figure out what's going on in the middle of a hands free phone conversation. Apple needs to fix this asap!

Also happens to me on both of my cars on I-25 and Lincoln (between Cabelas and the Schwab campus). At the exact same issue at the exact sane place. iPhone 15 Pro Max, 2-23 Ford F-159 Lightning Platinum ER

Same for me. I 25 between Ridge Gate and Lincoln car play skips, cuts out and usually locks up then re-boots. This happens 100% of the time. Very frustrating! It doesn’t matter if I am wireless or connected to the car via usb.

I have the same issue at the same location on SR-92 with my 2021 Audi RS6. My wife’s phone also does the same when connected. I have a 14 pro, she has a standard 14. It does it more when going West that when going East.

My car does this at the same spot too. It also occurs around Centennial Airport. Ive always thought maybe there is some interference with the signal due to ATC radio traffic but I would know nothing about that. Good to know its not just my car.

I have the exact same problem also at that same spot on Timpanogos highway. Wireless Apple Car Play cuts out by Texas Instruments. Just moved here from Florida. I never had it happen there. If I switch to wired, it’s fine.

Yes, same! Since i got my new car with carplay in Feb 2023, it has cut out at this spot (Denver area near i-25 and Lincoln by Skyridge Hospital). This summer, it also started cutting out on I-25 through downtown after i took a weird frontage road route to avoid traffic. So basically i can’t drive north or south on I-25 and still be able to follow what a podcast is talking about.
