What is iOS Account Manager?

Hello there, I was checking my google account security settings and I found out that "iOS Account Manager" is connected to my account but I've no idea what it is. I tried to log out from my account on my iPhone but when I log into YouTube it still appears (so it might can be related to yt but idk why). I also logged into safari and when I check for new logins in my google account setting it just says that safari is connected. You guys have any ideas on what this account manager is? sorry for my bad english.

It’s totally normal. Everyone who operates a Google account from iOS devices will see this. Nothing is installed on anyone’s phones. It’s software that Google uses for managing logins on iOS devices. It’s a security measure so that you can see what devices are logged into your account.

As you clearly didn’t read the thread you posted to, or even the post right above yours, I will repeat what it has said over and over and over.

iOS Account Manager is a Google process that coordinates login between all of the Google apps logged in to your Google Account on your phone. There is nothing nefarious about it, it is not spyware, and it is not a government or industry conspiracy.

But if you don’t want to see it, just delete all of the Google apps you have on your phone.

Well, this is a user-to-user forum, not the “Apple support team”. But they can’t anything about a Google app. From:https://www.fireebok.com/resource/how-to-remove-ios-account-manager-from-google-account.html

The iOS Account Manager is Google Account Management platform for iOS, which protects your account from hackers when logging in on your iOS device and using Google apps and services. It also reminds you that your Google account is being used on an iOS device.

In the Iphone setting there is Direct Touch Apps. A hacker continued to make Norton password security app. Their VPN. And several other apps. Accessible by keeping a check next to them. I would uncheck it, and within two seconds they would check it right back. Look for the accessibility UI server./L2TP VPN ( send all traffic
) to be turned on .( even if you don’t have a VPN) that is **** your settings are getting changed? Or that’s how mine seem to be?

That is impossible, unless you jailbroke your phone.

Guys, I’ve searched into the google support community and as a “specialist” said this iOS Account Manager “service” means that I (and you) have given the access to a google service installed on iOS (like youtube for me) to my (and your) google account so I think we’re now able 2 sleep peacefully. Btw I’m not 100% sure that this stuff is finally resolved but the most logical answer to this big question seems the best.

What you have found has absolutely nothing to do with iOS Account Manager, and it looks like logorrhea that came from an AI bot. As you would know if you had read the thread you posted to iOS Account Manager is a Google app that coordinates the interactions between the Google apps you have on your phone, so you don’t have to sign into each one separately, and data you enter in one will be available to the other Google apps on your phone.

Just had a look for myself on my own Google account. Seems totally innocuous to me. It’s just log of what devices you’ve logged into Google on. I think iOS Account Manager is just because it’s iOS devices involved. I would worry about it - I’m certainly not going to.

You’d only need to be worried about devices you don’t recognise.

I believe I figured it out, I signed into my sons account from my google page not gmail and it didn’t show but when I made his new Apple ID his Gmail and signed into it there that’s when it popped up I suppose google is getting more analytical with sign ins and trying to be less vague.

I also am a family manager on my sons iPhone and my aunt who I was testing the theory for is Under her boyfriends family account
