Magsafe Leather Wallet with Find My not connecting

Hi, I purchased a magsafe leather wallet with magsafe for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I also have purchased an iPhone 13 Pro Max Silicone Case.


After using the wallet and case combo for about a month, it started not working anymore. I would connect the wallet to the back of the iPhone, but it would not connect (not showing up in Find My as connected and not making sound or vibration).


The wallet still connects to the iPhone without the case on. I tried the wallet on another iPhone 13 Pro Max, but it still doesn't work. (The case also doesn't make the connected screen animation when connecting it to my iPhone or the other iPhone).


I want to know if there maybe is a way to fix this.


FYI: I live in South Africa and purchased the case from iStore (our countries authorized Apple reseller). So going in for repair or replacement is a bit more difficult than in America.

We have some steps to help you with your iPhone MagSafe wallet and getting it to pair again successfully. Please complete the steps below:


• Make sure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS
• If the setup animation disappeared, press the side button on your iPhone to put your device to sleep. Then wake and unlock your iPhone. Place the wallet onto the back of your iPhone, wait up to 15 seconds, and the animation should reappear. 
• Learn what to do if you see a message that says that your iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe is connected to another Apple ID.
• There are two models of iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe. The model that's compatible with Find My was released in the second half of September 2021, and is available in the following colors: Golden Brown, Dark Cherry, Wisteria, Sequoia Green, and Midnight.
