Is this some kind of scam? A number I have dialled and texted previously suddenly added +32. I did receive a reply to this text, but it vanished almost instantly and isn't anywhere on my phone.

If your phone's country is set to Belgium or if you are at Belgium at the moment and you have dial assist turned it, it might happen. You can turn it off and try.
In general it should be located at the bottom of Settings > Phone.

There is a previous discussion on the same topic. Can you check your own phone number and try by turning on dial assist instead of switching it off?

If that doesn't help, I read online and understood that this would help
The fix as described above was to go to Setttings / General / Language and Region and change my Region to Belgium (it was saying UK) and then back to UK.

Thank you, but no, I'm not in Belgium, neither is the recipient. I do not have dial assist turned on and my phone is set to UK.
So something else is happening here. Also, why would reply disappear after brief flash up?
