Safari frequently accessing contacts?

I can see in privacy reports that safari is frequently accessing my contacts? I seem to have no control over this? They don’t appear in privacy as having ‘asked’ for permission? So I cant switch off permission. Does anyone know how they are able to do this please, or how I can stop it?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

Hello 24KBS,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with your contacts being accessed by Safari. To start, check ou tthe steps listed here to see if they help: Control access to your contacts on Mac - Apple Support

"1.On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy , then click Privacy.

Select Contacts.

Select the checkbox next to an app to allow it to access your contacts.

Deselect the checkbox to turn off access for that app.

If you turn off access for an app, you’re asked to turn it on again the next time that app tries to use your information.

If you allow third-party apps or websites to use your contact information, any information they collect is governed by their terms and privacy policies. It’s recommended that you learn about the privacy practices of those parties."

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
