iPhone 11 Pro - Not responding to touch/won't reset

As of this afternoon, I have run into a couple of problems with this phone

The touchscreen works ( I can slide between the different pages on my home and can open the folder with different apps in it) but I can't click on any of the apps for them to open, including Settings, Camera, Etc.
I can't reset the phone by pressing the side button and power button. It does not work. Both buttons work independently, I can raise and lower the volume and if I hold down the side button, Siri pops up. I don't know of any other way to power the phone off.

Any thoughts?

Start here:

If no help, connect it to your computer as explained in the link above.

If you get it to restart, I would think that your other problems would be solved.
