Can't use Apple Account Balance to complete purchase

I'm attempting to use my Apple Account Balance to partially pay for an order. My credit card covers the remaining balance. I'm unable to do so and I keep getting "Your payment authorization failed. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method." error.

I've tried using a different credit. I was able to complete an order by just using a credit card. I'm able to use my Apple Account balance for App Store purchases just fine. I was able to use my Apple account balance to cover an entire order but I've since returned that order.

I contact support over the phone and they promised me to email me within 48 hours but I've heard from them back after 5 days. No luck with live chat either.

Who do I need to reach out to get support for this? It feels like it's account related.

So after further research this has been an issue every time you cancel or return an item bought with ID balance . (Which was the common denomonatir in our cases) You have to call back in and use these specific words “Please unblock my Purchasing Block on my Apple ID balance that was blocked when i cancelled Order mxxxxx”. If you use these words they won’t transfer you but instead create a case to level 2 which should get back in a day…. That’s the stage I’m in right now. If that doesn’t work , I’m emailing Tim Cook, if that doesn’t work BBB, it’s my hard earned real money, not just some store points

Who did you talk to at Apple?

I spoke with the itunes account department who confirmed they see the balance and there was no block.

I spoke with three different sales rep (because they kept bouncing me back to them saying that the sales rep were the only ones who can place the order) who couldn't figure out the problem

I spoke with media department who said they aren't the ones that assist with matters like this

I spoke with Apple Support who said I need to speak to sales again

I finally spoke to a supervisor who said she'll put in a request to maybe "reset" my account but who knows that that means.

Its crazy to think that Apple could just expect a customer to forget about their balance and maybe sweep it under the rug.

Im more surprised that a company like Apple can't figure out a simple solution to this and instead would resort to just bouncing a customer department to department.

How is this so hard to fix?

My heart hopes but my mind tells me that you're probably wasting your time.

I'm assuming your going to go there and try to pay with apple balance from your apple wallet?

I mean Im sure it'll work itself out, right? I really cannot imagine Apple letting the money rot away in the balance, I just don't get how there is NO ONE who could give a clear answer on whats going on.

"Your payment authorization failed. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method."

Yep, that's what I get on the computer.

I get a Payment Not Processed error when I try to pay via iOS device. It then says something about my credit card declining even though the balance covers the total and I know the credit card is working with no issues.

I have been given the run around by sales. Support staff. Media even. One even tried to send me a link on my end to complete the purchase. One tried to purchase for me. None of them could get it through even now. I’m frustrated because this should be such a simple process and now I don’t even know how long it’s going to take to fix it, plus all the new iPhones are sold out. When I was trying to check out over the weekend they were all still in stock. Now they’re not.
