The three dots doesn't contain the HIDE option for photos synced from iTunes. In that cases, (not being from camera roll, for instance) you cannot do anything, not hide, not erase. You can only hide a photo or whatever, if you duplicate on the IPad the photo, first. You can then hide the duplicate but never the "original", that is because the true original is not on the iPad but in the main computer. Previous versions of the System does effectively permitted the "hide" action no matter the source. (although you were never authorized to delete it). It is a sad decision from Apple, if it is intended to be like that.
I can currently not checked, if the behavior of synced photos has changed, because I have the shared iCloud Photo s Library enabled. This disables the manual syncing.
Is there a filter applied to the Hidden album? With a filter applied the Hidden album may appear to be empty. While viewing the Hidden album, check the filter in the actions drop down menu (...) .
This is how to hide photos in iOS 16:
In the Photos app, find the photo you want to hide. Select the photo to make it full screen. Press the Options icon in the top right corner (three dots in a circle). From the drop down, select 'Hide' and then press 'Hide Photo' at the prompt.Sep 21, 2022
I clicked on the photo, hit the 3 dots in upper right corner and hide photo option was there.
They moved it to the 3 dot menu button. There was no need to move it. Select the photos you want. Tap 3 dots lower right side.
The hide feature has been moved. When you select a photo that you want to hide, select the three dot icon at te upper right of the screen. The hide function is now there.
I hate it but if you open ONE Photo then click on the three dots …
you will see hide option.
I am frustrated that you can’t select more than one and so this like before.
You can still hide your photos and video they just updated how it’s done instead of using the share button you should have at the top right next to edit the three dots select the photo or video and then click on the three dots it should have the option there
You can hide them. Go to recent photos select the ones you want hidden and at the bottom is a circle with three dots tap that and the option to hide comes up.
In IOS 16 the "Hide Photo" feature is no longer underneath the "select" option, you haf to press the three dots in the upper right corner of the photo
click the three dots next to the edit button and that should bring up a menu that has a hide photo option 👍
I just finally figured it out! Instead of hitting the little box with the up arrow click the circle with the three dots at the top right. It’s in that drop-down now
Just tap the “3 Dots” in the top/bottom corner which will give you the option to hide. You can also select whatever pictures you want, just make sure to click the “3 dots in the circle” button and it will give you options.
