I really wish people would read a few comments like "It doesn't work for pictures that are transferred TO the phone from iTunes" before replying that the hide function was moved to the 3-dot menu. I already know that the hide function was moved to the 3-dot menu. I also know that this doesn't work for images that have been transferred TO the phone using iTunes starting with iOS 16. You could hide images that had been transferred to the phone before iOS 16 and now you can't.

Maybe I'm weird but a LOT of the images I have on my phone weren't taken on my phone-as a matter of fact right now my camera roll is empty. And a lot of the images I took on my phone were transferred to my computer, processed in Lightroom and then transferred back. Those are the photos I can't hide. Some are wallpapers that I have a script to rotate through. Some are images that aren't for public consumption.

The point is that before iOS 16 I could hide those images so they didn't show up in the library and people couldn't browse the albums they were in. Now that doesn't work. I don't know if it is a bug or an intentional decision by Apple to change how Hide works.

So, yes I get it. Hide has been moved to the 3-dot menu. Great. Fabulous.

The issue is why I can't hide images that were transferred to the phone.
