iPhone issues with dual SIM

I recently changed carriers and have a physical sim and an esim now. But now I cannot send text message with androids. SMS is turned on. Can I delete the esim, or remove the physical sim so I do not have dual sim anymore? Will my phone work correctly with only 1 sim?

Not being able to use SMS has nothing to do with using a SIM or eSIM. The issue lies with your carrier. SMS is their service, contact your carrier for help.

I have a physical SIM as primary with my old operator and signed up with a new operator with eSIM, but I can not send SMS with the eSIM when both plans are on and the eSIM is selected for data. Dual sim SMS issue - can't send and receive from one line I have an iPhone 12 pro max. It's factory unlocked Physical sim is on the Visible network - SMS works on this line if everything else on the esim line is shut off.. data, imessage, everything. I have to disable it completely. Oddly enough, calls and data work fine all the time on this line The esim line is AT&T and works great. Data, phone, and SMS all work fine all the time.. For some reason, the SMS on the physical sim (Visible) line won't work if the esim (AT&T) is active. Thoughts? I had the carrier reprovision the sim and rebooted. Didn't help.

Dual SIM iPhone Cannot Send Texts without iMessage Enabled I wish to send SMS's but without using iMessage. I originally used a physical SIM card for personal calls, from my original provider, Optus. I now have a second phone number for work, with SIM, plan and number provided by Telstra. I only want to carry one phone for personal and work. I changed my physical SIM for an electronic SIM with my Personal provider. At this point, phone worked fine and would send SMS without iMessage. I then installed a physical SIM for my Work provider. After this, standard SMS's would not send. The screen simply failed to respond to the "Send" icon. Once iMessage was enabled, SMS's would send okay but I want to send texts without iMessage. What can I do? All other aspects of the dual SIM phone work fine. My phone is an iPhone 11. Can I please ask that any responder reads and understands the issue fully, before replying?
