iPad ask to confirm cookies and to login every time I open Safari

Hey!

Hopefully some of you can answer me. In the newest version of Safari I have to accept cookies and login to account's every time I shut down my iPad or close Safari. Is there a new setting or is there a problem with this version. I have IOS 15.7 and newest Safari.

Thanks for the help

As described, your browser software is working as expected.

Commercial websites often require that you accept terms of use (often related to GDPR or similar legislation) prior to being granted access to website content - this often (and inevitably) settings tracking cookies that are locally stored on your device.

Security features of modern browser software will often purge cookies upon closing the browser or associated browser window; some cookies will also automatically expire, regardless of the browser software.

Websites that require account login will usually require that you sign-in after a period of inactivity - or if the associated browser session is terminated by closing the browser or browser window. This is normal/anticipated behaviour of well-coded security.
