Facebook comments - keyboard not disappearing when browsing

I too have been having issues, and I now can’t really see the difference between your product and Samsung.

I assume this is only affecting a few and not the many otherwise they would have done something about this straight away.

so my question is why is it only affecting us and not everyone else?

I have the same problem , for quite a few weeks now. Sometimes clicking back and then the comment again allows me to reply and my writing is still there . Sometimes not. Maddening. Have reported to facebook. No reply, unsure they care. App is unusable at times. Reinstalling doesn’t cure it.

I have spent MONTHS trying to work out how to resolve this… I’m in the UK and had the UK keyboard and emoji keyboard. I added the US keyboard. Deleted the UK. Then added the UK again and deleted the US. Voila! Job. Done. Thank you finally some sanity!

Same problem here. And can’t read some long comments as keyboard opens up when trying to read the comment - then can’t still up or down.

Someone said to contact Facebook. Have you ever tried to contact them? It is near impossible. You just go round and round automated pages. I have the latest version of iOS and that’s when the problem got really bad. Facebook is not useable. It does work ok on MacBook browser but that is no solution as mostly one wants to use Facebook on their phone.

it is annoying that Apple seems uninterested in these kinds of glitches.

I’m just using Facebook less. I’ve lost countless replies because of the glitchy keyboard issues and disappearing texts. I guess they can keep going as is and see their user engagement decline, because I’m sure we’re not alone in this.

The first thing you'll want to check to see if Facebook is up-to-date on your device. If it is, you can try deleting and reinstalling the app to see if your issues persist. Who else would you suggest people ask to fix the problem? Facebook is the developer of the app. It's their responsibility to fix any issues with it.

I Have the same issue too - keyboard won't get out of the way for me to see the comment so i have to scroll up and click view post and scroll back down to see whats been said

Apple is not legally allowed to make changes in Facebook's software.

Try accessing Facebook through a browser instead.

Apple doesn't have a problem with Facebook. Facebook has a problem with iOS. They need to fix it. Have you contacted Facebook?

I don't care if you chose not to access FB in the meanwhile. In fact, I think the world would be a much better place without FB.

Had zero issues until the Apple iOS update. I've also noticed that across all apps the Apple Share screen gets stuck quite often and each app has to be closed: Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc
