Anyone still got their 12 pro/pro max and the 14 pro/pro max ?

It’s a hardware function issue, won’t change no matter how many updates. I bought a 14 Pro only to get rid of it and switch back to my 12pro. Issue started with Iphone 13 Pro and continued.

It’s to do with the depth of field. What were the setting?

Thank you. I know I completely agree a reputable company like Apple I expected a lot more. Yes he said maybe bad batch actually. If it’s still in warranty you can ask for a new phone

I have the same issues. Very grainy and blurry. I also have an issue with videos switching modes while I’m recording and going blurry for long periods of time. I’ve got the latest update as suggested elsewhere, but it’s not effective at fixing the issue.

Man I have the same problem. I bought my iPhone 14 Pro max 20 days ago and noticed something off, the moment I started capturing pictures. The pictures were not sharp and once I zoomed in , the detail was gone. That is when I compared it to my mother's iPhone 13 today. With the pro raw( 48mp) , the details are better on the 14 pro max when zoomed in but when I switched to the front camera, the 13 is sharp as I can see my beard very sharply but the 14 is just garbage. I live in India so we don't even have official apple stores (hence no returns and stuff) . All I can do is hope that it is a SW issue and will be fixed. The phone is literally 1800$ here (iPhone 14 Pro Max -256gb). I just really feel sad and disappointed as this is my first iPhone and I had great expectations. Let's all hope that it gets fixed in IOS 16.1 .

I have an appointment with Apple Support tomorrow. I'll update this when I find out what they say. I am also a developer on Apple but don't have a test iPhone 14 Pro Max. I may upgrade my daily phone to the latest 16.1 betas and see if it fixes it but only after talking to their support tomorrow.

Oh please update us on any new "word" of any possible fix. By the way I did notice... it's just happening on when you point the camera to get a selfie photo... not as bad the other way...

I also experimented... I'm able to get a clear focused photo of a selfie if I turn my cell backwards but of course very difficult in aiming correctly because you can't see yourself. You're totally guessing... OMG they HAVE to fix this

But... I DID notice focusing issues one time trying to focus on something the other day too though and thank you again
