My iPhone 14 Pro Max won't turn on

Thanks for the YouTube link. The sequential button pushing reactivated my phone: volume up, then volume down, then an extended side button push (give it up to a minute). What a weird way to get things working again.

Mine just did the same thing and I got it to turn on again. But, I want to know WHY this happened? I've had multiple iPhones and this has never occurred with any of my previous generation phones. It's not very comforting to know that my phone may seize up sometime during the night and won't work in an emergency or I can't be called for something...

My sentiments exactly. I’d rather have an older, RELIABLE phone than one that just crashes out!

I’ve also had many iterations of iPhone, and this has never happened. Why now??

(Mine is the Pro, not the Pro Max, but the exact same thing happened and worked to fix it—buyer be ware!)

I also experienced and I just did the same thing:

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo. (I did it for atleast 1 -2 minutes) then it turned on.

Let's hope this is fixable via an update and Apple is paying attention. Being someone who has trusted and relied on Apple to have a high-quality products, I am very disappointed and concerned I may have made a mistake in my recent investment in a new iPhone 14 Pro Max and new Apple Watch series 8. My previous iPhone 7 Plus and Apple watch series 1 were both working without major issues up to my replacing them this past December.

Having the same issue with my Iphone 14. Woke up to a dead black screen. Tried everything to turn it on, not going to happen. Waiting for Verizon store to open. Hopefully I can get a new one today and not have to wait a week.
