Can't cancel installation

I have a mac that I use for school (has school software downloaded onto it which means certain things are blocked) and I was trying to download a Cassio digital calculator from their website. Partway through the installation process it got blocked by school and now is stuck on Install in progress. I can't force the quit the install which means I can't shut down or restart my laptop. What do I do?
