Just installed Mac Ventura on my Mac Studio and updated my iPhone 14 pro max iOS 16.1 and Continuity Camera just refuses to work. I had it running for second then I plugged the iPhone in to the Mac but the moment you unplug it stops. I try turning Continuity Camera on and off. I’ve try signing out of cloud on both Mac and iPhone and still doesn’t work any ideas ?
I just got off the phone with Apple Support.... fixed! Turns out it was not really broken. The iPhone must be near the Mac, LOCKED and in LANDSCAPE mode (the phone on its LONG SIDE) with the rear camera facing you! Read the instructions below.

Same issue, but I have an iPhone 11. it looks to be an issue of macOS when don't have any webCam connected, but there ins't an answer to this issue.

I’ve done all that and it still doesn’t work. But thank you. I did Google the question and that what they said to try.
I live in the uk. The last time I try support I got no where it’s most lightly buggy software as usual.
I have try that and it still the same. The only way it kind of works is if I have my iPhone plug in to the Mac. but the moment I unplug the video stops. This is why I think there are bugs !
You can still be un-tethered from your computer with the phone. No need to use the decoy usb camera.
I’ve found that my continuity camera is temperamental whether any picture shows up or not even though my Mac detects my iPhone
