AirPods Pro 2 case is draining battery without using the AirPods

Same problem here. I called apple support, no help, and they suggested sending them. They looked at them for minutes and decided nothing was wrong. So, they must be aware of the issue and hopefully an upcoming update will help. Good luck all.

I am also having the same battery drain with my original airpod pros. This week the case updated to the new firmware and now I lose 10-15% battery on the charge on standby mode. Essentially ruining them. Tried the reset etc.

I have been struggling with the same issue. I fully charged my case 100% and the pods were full too. But at around 11 am in the morning I noticed the case was down to 84% without even being used for a minute!!!

should i go for a replacement or it’s a software issue?

The same for me. I also have 3 years old AirPods base 2nd gen, and the battery performs better than the new more expensive AirPods Pro 2… already replaced a case and nothing changed

I was able to reach barely 7 hours listening. Ridiculous

I just received my headphones yesterday with the latest firmware and I'm also having the same issue. Case drained by 33% overnight.

Also my AirPods base 2nd gen never did this… AirPods Pro 2 battery is a disaster

96% to 54 % overnight, turn off find my already and reconnected but still find the battery drain so fast.

Even my APP1 is much better

So are you saying the case drain has stopped for you after this case update?

today the case has still 100% battery.

Finally I’m really happy with them.

Friends had this firmware of the case weeks before and had never this issue.

My Airpods pro 2nd gen case draining too much bettery without even using it lost 40% in 2 days using Firmware 5B58. Apple fix this it’s too much irritating !

I have the same problem. It drains 15% in 8hrs. I am on a replacement case now and it’s worse better than before. The first case was draining 50% in the same time.

I'm past the return date, too. Super frustrating but I have just given up and will live with the drain. Hoping they can fix it with firmware updates.

Hi all. Has anyone noticed a change with the new firmware update? I'm trying to get my set to update now. 5E133 is the latest. Fingers crossed.
