Mac OS Ventura - Sending a PDF of a pages document via email

In Monteray, there was a really useful setting in Pages which allowed me to email a pdf version of my .pages document by using Share > “Send via Mail,” and then it allowed me to pick the format.

Is there a way to still do this? I've found a work around by going to Print, selecting PDF, and then picking Mail, but this adds a significant number of steps when it used to be a mappable keyboard shortcut for me.

Any hope in getting that back?

Apple removed the Sharing menu item. Your options to Send a Copy and to choose Mail and PDF are on the File menu now, or possibly as a View menu > Customize Toolbar… panel where you drag and drop Send a Copy onto your Toolbar.

Hi guys,

I have solved the issue by creating a keyboard shortcut for the "File > Export as PDF..." menu option in macOS Ventura.

In my case I have a Maestro keyboard license but you can also create it directly from the "Keyboard" option in the System Configuration.

In previous versions of macOS I had added another keyboard shortcut that "forced" me to go through an extra step by having to press COMMAND + P + P

(please excuse me if any description is not exactly the same as yours since I work in another language).

Thanking you for your contributions,

Best regards,

It is the satin Notes - no longer sends as a PDF embedded in a Mail but as a Notes link - no use for all your MicroSoft contacts. HOWEVER there is a solution - in Pages or Notes etc... simple go File>Print then on the PDF drop down >send in Mail - and it attaches the Pages doc r Note as a PDF!

Not quite as elegant as it was, goodness knows why they've stopped this, but at least there is a simple solution.....!

Only fellow users and occasional hosting team community specialists participate here. The Pages product team and other Apple product teams are embargoed from participation in these public, Google archived communities.

There is no one here that can fix what the product team has removed. Youc can politely let them know that you want this feature back by using the Provide Pages Feedback on the application menu.

Not a solution to your Yoink sharing workflow requirement, but back on page 3 of this (currently) 5 page discussion, I offered an Apple Shortcuts solution to automatically attach a user's choice of PDF, DOCX, or RTF documents to outgoing email. The intention was addressing the most frequent complaint about the loss of the Send a Copy f(x).

I still think this has something to do with Ventura as the Send a Copy functionality exists with Pages v12.2.1 on Monterey 12.6.3, and Pages v12.2.1 for iOS/iPadOS 16.3 (from the document title).
