Did the "critical" update last night and now battery power is dropping like a rock. Happened a few updates ago as well. That required an additional update to rectify the battery drain issue.

For the first 72 hours after an update while the phone is reindexing spotlight it will use more battery. If it persists after that go to Settings > Battery > Health and see what the percentage is. If it is 80% or lower you need a new battery.
I tried to go back to iOS 14.8, but Apple only signs iOS 15.7.2. I didn’t want to jailbreak my device.
iOS 16 has too many features to be good. I don’t remember a single problem with iOS 14.
macOS Ventura makes a Mac a iPod Touch, basically. I think 2022 computers are cursed.
Apple updated iOS 12, but have not updated iOS 14. iOS 14 was perfectly good!

Yes, but then so am I!
And the fact that my battery lasting 5 days (or more, on occasion) has now been reduced to less than 1 day is hugely annoying — and a drain on my electricity bill, too.
