Have you tried the latest (21 Oct 2022) drivers from Canon?

(-> Drivers -> Compatible Operating System macOS 13)
If necessary, reset the printing system and re-add the printer:

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

You're so right! I've been at it for ages and just can't get it to connect. Never had this issue earlier. I'm so lost and frustrated. Really need to get my work going!
I cannot print on my Canon G7020 since my iMac upgraded to Ventura 13.01.
Not everyone uses Wifi. This is a USB connection.
Not a solution for USB users.
