How to Disable iPhone Wallpaper Change from Lock Screen?

So apparently, I’m touching the Lock Screen too much/too long.

There is no way to turn this feature off at the moment, but you can send feedback directly to Apple here: Product Feedback - Apple

The number of times I have put my phone on the silent lock screen which I have set to disable absolutely all notifications, so my phone’s not vibrating or squawking in the middle of class, meetings, yoga… but at some point I’ve accidentally swapped the screen back to the normal one. Well, guess whose phone rang mid funeral? For real, y’all need to add a feature to disable this. I hope my grandfather is haunting you for embarrassing the crap out of me, haha!

I lost the nice default 2nd page wallpaper that was black and red and can't find it anymore.

Fire whoever placed a "customise wallpaper" on the lockscreen! I accidentally "hold" that annoying "customise" feature several times a day! every time I get it out of my pockets!

I am ready to quit Apple.

Way too much nonsense.

And never any good replies.

The idea is ok- but whomever approved it should be fired, as it’s clear they did a whopping ZERO real-world testing on this feature. Every day, multiple times, I have to choose my wallpaper as I’ve held onto the screen too long and changed it without even knowing. Same thing goes for the “edit Home Screen” long-press issue. These two items are the reason I want to get my 11proMax back and throw this 14 into a volcano’s lava lake. TBH I’m not 199% if it’s an option that’s based on the iOS or if it’s that combined with iPhone version or what, but both of these features need to have something like two-factor keyclicks to get any action. I’m tired of waking up and finding out I’ve inadvertently erased my “settings” icon or have a Man City wallpaper. Nothing makes me sicker than not being able to control my own phone.

I just filled out the form but, duh, the versions of Apple iOS listed stop at 16.4.1 and I have 16.5.1 so it's likely that they don't even read this feedback form as I am sure I'm not the first to use it LOL.

I’ve never seen the forms up to date on the current iOS. Just mention what iOS versions you’re actually on in the Comment Section.

APPLE, if you are going to shove such useless and annoying features down our throats, AT LEAST GIVE US THE OPTION TO EASILY DISABLE IT.

Who comes up with this garbage? Surely it’s a disgruntled Apple employee who wants to do only one thing; **** off iPhone users, with an irritating feature that at best is aggravating, and at worst embarrassing or compromising.

They give you the features they think you should want. (Like no physical SIM card capability.) I'm just about done with it.

That has been Apple's philosophy pretty much from day one. People were up in arms when they removed SCSI ports, floppy drives, and optical drives. There were a lot of people who hated the Mac graphical user interface and wished Apple would have stayed with the older operating system. And yet, enough people think Apple providing the right product that they're doing well.

You, however, should choose the tool that best meets your needs.

Are you kidding me! We are on the Apple Support Community forum! Hahahaha! Apple wants us to fill out a comment card, too? Y'all are changing and not for the better. I can't believe Apple would pay to host a forum for SUPPORT, then refuse to look at it. I filled out your "feedback" card, but why don't you just send me an email address where I can link an engineer to this page? That seems far more reasonable.

This is a user-to-user technical support community, not Apple Support Whether or not you agree with how Apple does things doesn't change the fact they don't read here for feedback or suggestions.

Why would you make different ways for your customers to report issues with a product? I use Apple because normally, and historically, they did the best and made my life easier. That's a terrible response to a long line of posts. I hope you don't work for them and are just trying to be helpful to the group.

In the time it took you to make this post, you could have submitted feedback. While I recognize it would have been less cathartic to do so, it would have been more effective.

And no, almost no one here in this user-to-user forum works for Apple. You may see some posts made by "Community Specialists" who are Apple employees but their interaction is very limited.
