I have found one answer to this issue.
You may have the app running in the background on your iPhone. If you only have the individual subscription where you can only have one device playing at one time. Close the app on your phone and refresh the page.

Hello, I have found that on my laptop, sometimes the website says "apple.com/us" instead of "apple.com/fr" (as I live in France). Changing it back to fr worked for me.

This! Thanks to geo-location or weblinks it messes up the country-domain. In my case I work in Switzerland, but my account is based in Austria. So... switch the CH with AT and all is cool.
Apple - it really would add to accessability and user friendliness if this was NOT a thing. I mean, I am subscribed and logged in, don't make me jump through all those loops.
This did not help. What did help was switching to /us then back to my local (/gb) version of apple music as mentioned further up in this thread
