Change resolution for video in browser to anything besides auto. Worked for me.

I have the same issue. Streaming from my iPad Pro to my Apple TV. I can watch other apps on the Apple TV and stream YouTube but when I try to stream a video from a website I get the 🚫 symbol at the bottom left of the tv screen.

Any fix for this - all these ppl having the same issue on 16.1.1 and no response from support
Same problem here, other people can stream to my ATV without problem.
Will try 16.2 now and see if it´s any different

I have been having the same issue too for months. On both my iPhone 14 and iPad to my Apple TV. Nothing works.
A small update, it seems like airplay is working if I turn off VPN on my phone (ExpressVPN).
Does not help me a lot since I need the VPN running to airplay said content.
Turns out, some websites don’t let their content be streamed by AirPlay anymore. Had to switch to another website to watch vids on the TV.
How did u get rid of it
Setting to 1080 dpi solved the problem.

In apple tv navigate to settings/ video output
It took them about three years to correct calendar history issues. And still have issues with iPhoto merging into photo. Every update my albums get put out of order!
