My touch Id is not working in my MAC OS Ventura. Can u please help?
P. Phillips, your numbers 1 and 2 worked for me! Reminded me that Touch ID stopped working when I plugged my keyboard in to charge. Thank you!

After the upgrade to Mac OS Ventura (13.0.1 now), the Touch ID no longer works for unlocking the screen for me. It works fine in other places.
I tried removing the fingerprint and adding a new one. That did not help.

From a Cold Boot Up - stop and read the fine print below the slit for the Computer password.
To Verify the Ownership of this computer, it Is Required to Manually type in the Password
Go figure! It's obviously a sporadic bug, and it just worked for me after 2 days of consistent failure, once. These machines' states are more complicated than just model/CPU, I guess!
Yes the Good Old days are long done.
Latest update to 13.2.1 has fixed this issue for me

Tried every solution online until I found this is an underlying bug on Ventura. What a shame.
