Issues since 5B58 firmware update?

Running the latest software on my iPhone 14 Pro and iPad Air 4. Ever since AirPods firmware 5B58 was released, my AirPods Pro (1st Gen, manufactured in 2021) have been nearly worthless. The right Airpod constantly disconnects and is very difficult to get to reconnect to either device. If I pause a show and then hit play later, I’m getting intermittent sounds, as though I am a long way away from the source Bluetooth signal and it’s cutting out (even though I’m within two feet). And I’m getting recurrent crackling sounds in certain circumstances. They were working perfectly until this week, but now super frustrating. Anyone else experiencing issues?

It happened to me after I disabled the automatic ear detection in the settings (trying to solve the problem). For a while they even continued to play inside the case…

Same, my biggest issue though is they keep connecting even when I put them in the case to charge, I check them and they were just sitting not charging connected to my device. When I put the left in the light blinks too? they were fine till the update.

@apple Hurry up and fix this, update 5B58 ruined my brand new day one AirPod Pro 2, sometimes one earphone won’t connect, half the time the battery levels are displaying low battery on either one or both earphones and they had been in the case all night/ morning this should be fully charged, wtf Apple, I paid premium for a set of premium earphones, fix this rubbish!

So I have the new AirPods Pro and I’m having a different issue. Battery drain. I use my AirPods at the gym regularly…. They had been fully charged, the AirPods and the case 100%. I didn’t use them for 4 days, because I was working a lot. The AirPods never came out of the case in that time, and yet the case dropped to 88%. Anyone else having this issue?

It would be great to know what your original problem was (disconnections, ANC), and which product you had the problem with (Airpods, Airpods Pro, Airpods Max), and what firmware version you were running before 5b58. It is possible that there are several issues at play and knowing the specifics of your hardware is helpful in identifying solutions that might apply. Thanks.

Same, AirPods first gen right AirPods constantly disconnects. I’m using iPad Air 4.

Airpods Max battery life has worsened since the 5B58 firmware update. Had to reset the headphones due to a noise control cycling issue. Now I probably get what seems to be about 8-12 hours of use.

i have issues everyday. It’s takes multiple tries to connect. Everyone should return their pro 2 because they won’t update or fix the firmware.
