Cannot schedule sleep and wake in new Ventura

I agree but for now here is a quick terminal procedure example:

Shut down each day at 9:30 pm:

Sudo pmset repeat shutdown MTWRFSU 21:30:00  and hit return

Enter PW if required

Startup every day at 6:00AM:

Sudo pmset repeat wake MTWRFSU 6:00:00 and hit return

To have both startup and shutdown:

Sudo pmset repeat poweron MTWRFSU 6:00:00 shutdown MTWRFSU 21:30:00

To check if these were set:

Pmset -g sched

To cancel all settings:

Sudo pmset repeat cancel and hit return

Monday=M

Tuesday=T

Wednesday=W

Thursday=R

Friday=F

Saturday=S

Sunday=U

I know but unless you can convince Apple to bring back that feature we are all stuck using terminal.

To that end:

That is not simple. My father won't understand for example.

I had a long issue with my iMac in which it wouldn't turn on using the power button. This feature was a life saver. And Terminal is not a good alternative for everyone.

Apple designed this way because Apple Decided it be this way.

After all, they Own the Operating System

No amount of complaining is going to change things.

I allready did that.

Tried it a couple of times before and never got the idea that anyone looks at those suggestions.

Does Apple even care about it’s users? Or does all the attention go to the shareholders who demand higher profits every year?

Shen enough Users take the actual time to provide Feedback on a specific Feature or in this case lack of and expected Feature, not doubt as some point Apple may or may not action this.

Chase in point from some years ago was the https://www.macrumors.com/guide/butterfly-keyboard-vs-scissor-keyboard/ issue which took some years before there was action
