What does this warning mean?

The message means whatever messenger app that is, it is trying to use a password that is stored in your keychain; the password it is requesting is your login password for your admin account to unlock your keychain.

whether that is a legitimate request from that app, I cannot tell you.

The email is a notification that Old Toad posted in this thread. Clicking on that link will bring you to his post. OT had nothing to do with putting that link into the email.

There are three links in one of those emails: 1 - the one to my bio page; 2 - the one to the post that generated the email; and 3 - one at the bottom to the reply window of the post that generated the email.
