AirPods Pro 2 case tracking not working.

I did exactly that but unfortunately it didn’t work. Even took mine to the store waited 1 hour and that’s when they decided to replace the AirPods Pro v2 and since then no issues at all touch wood.

I kind of have the same problem. I have a Iphone 13 pro max.

My phone is fully up to date, with all the latest software updates.

I just got the airpods pro2.

But no matter how many times i have tried to rest my airpods. Or even turn my phone on and off.

I am unable to find the case in the find my devices app. it shows me the airpods but not the case.

Is there anything I can do?

Nothing online seems to talk about the case not showing up as if its a given and no one els has this issue.

I have 16.1 installed. My phone said it couldn't connect to my airpods for a week. I tried from my iMac too. Same thing, but iMac told me a day earlier and 20 miles difference in location for 'last location'

I tried playing a sound, locating, etc. Nothing worked. Neither my iMac or my iPhone could connect to the airpods. I finally found them in the bottom of my purse. I thought they must be dead, but they weren't, the airPods were at 100% and the case at 93% charge. Once I opened the case, my iPhone could connect and play a sound etc.

This is completely worthless. How can I open the **** case if I don't know where they are?

There must be some fix for this? I've tried the privacy setting 'while using' suggestion. My airpods will not connect to my iPhone unless the case is open. I have my iPhone sitting next to my closed airPods case that are plugged into my iMac right now they are all within 6" of each other and I'm attempting to play a sound and am getting the following notification:

Attempting to Connect...

Find My will keep searching in the background for the next few minutes. A sound will be played if you device connects to it.

Anyone else having this issue or have fixed this issue?

Do I have to glue an Air Tag to my case? :/

My airpods SEEM perfectly fine, but I have a problem, currently I'm trying to find out if it's because of my Iphone x or the airpod pros 2nd gen. When I first connected to, the pop-up screen said i needed the latest version of IOS. So I click on the pop-up where it says "check for update" and once it loads, it says towards the bottom "This iphone is updated to its latest version of IOS". I've come to terms with the fact I'm living in 2018 still, with the iphone x. Maybe it's my old phone, but my aunt and brother have the latest titanium iphone, and their version is the latest at version 16.5 but mines is at its very own latest version of 16.6.7. It's very odd and annoying because I've lost the left side and Find My is absolutely useless. I've exchanged it for a new pair of airpods this afternoon and it still has problems with Find My. I'll be forced to buy the latest iPhone if I want the top quality sound I bought it for.

Same, at Apple Store they even don't know that new AirPods Pro 2 has case tracking mode. At the end of the day, I could not find any way to fix it.

Same problem here. Apple please fix this issue. I already reset the AirPods a few times, try connecting to another Apple devices and it still.

I have tried everything I can to track the case. I’m on the Latest iOS 16.3.1 I have location and tracking on but it still won’t track the case. I’m in the same building they are in and it still doesn’t work.

i have the same issue with the case no longer showing it worked the first time around and now just the AirPods themselves show up and I can no longer real the case. Also the new interface with the arrow doesn’t seem to be available to me. I’m using an iPhone 12 is it only available on the 13 and upwards?

Had this problem for a while now tried everything. It’s getting pretty annoying even more now that I know there’s a lot of people with the same problem. Why the **** give the case a tracking feature when it doesn’t even fkn work.

I've got the same exact problem and it's been going on for 5+ months now. So disappointed at Apple for not resolving this issue considering that precision tracking is one of the selling points for the AirPods Pro 2nd Generation

Well unfortunately there are no Apple Stores around or even anywhere close to my area so I guess I'll just have to live with a non functional device. Apple needs to find a way to fix this with some software update or something, it's frustrating!

Confusingly enough, this was the only method (trick?) that worked.

I have an iPad, iPhone and MacBooks; and couldn't recover "Find My" for my AirPods Pro 2nd generation from iOS/iPadOS alone.

Thank you very much for your post. I have the new pods with usb-c and the case wouldn’t connect. I’ve scrolled down trying every fix that didn’t work until I found yours. The only difference I used was a soft reset instead of turning the phone on/off and it worked perfectly. Thanks again you saved me at least a few hours on the phone and/or at trip to the 🍎 store.
