Airpods Pro 2nd gen case battery drain

Do they show up in the FIND MY app?

Genius bar also said all apple battery are behaving like other devices. So what they recommend are always charge it at night after using it.

just wondering if you resetting the airpods while turning of the notify me option?

How about the personalized spatial audio?

Having the exact same issues. Tried the hard reset and it seems okay for a while but eventually draining starts again without using them

As I wrote above with disabling Find My Network it won’t drain the battery in the case.But Apple has to find a way to keep Find My Network on without draining the battery.

Mine still have the same problem, with Find My Network on the case will be drained within 5-7 days without been used.

I am facing the battery drain issue for my 2nd gen Airpods Pro. Enen If i keep my Aitpods Pro Gen 2 Fully charged 100% and keep it in the drawer for 12 hours without using it. The battery drains from the charging case from 100% to 80 to 65 % without even using it. How does this happen? Really bad and Apple seriously need to look in to this.

Agreed, I’ve returned 3 sets already and now on my 4th set. Used for one hour and the case is at 77%. Clearly there are inherent faults with the product or the production process and these are been sold. A fix or a product recall is needed as these are not isolated problems.

I have bought AirPods Pro gen 2 from Amazon on sale 2 weeks ago , so I’m facing the same issue but there is no option like this , only “notify when found”

Also I found that, when I tried to kill case for new fully charge somehow earbuds loosing percentage without using, so I think if the earbuds loosing percentage without using that means earbuds is the problem for the case and not the case because case is trying to keep earbuds on 100% so it becomes that case draining the battery…

To the OP and ALL Participants...

Leave Apple feedback, as I mentioned in my previous reply. They will not know of this, if you do not report it. Period.

Keep trying it, leave the airpods fully charged in the case. The case doesnt matter if its somewhat drained, as long as it has some charge. Write down the percentage of the case and wait a few hours, it might lose 1% because it might have been almost about to change: example, if the case was at 92%, it could be almost at 91%, so you can probably see that drop pretty fast, but it shouldnt drop anymore till maybe a day or 2 after.

I saw that 16.4 has a firmware update for the AirPods. Hoping that's going to fix things.

Re all the hacks of turning on and off "show in find my" and completely running the batteries down, it seems like a joke that we should have to do something like that to make a product work as it's supposed to. If you played music until they were out of battery, did you have a device sitting there playing music for 30 hours!?

What I found strange was that for the first 48 hours it would say 100% when I'd check, then the next morning it had dropped to 78%. I haven't yet seen it report anything in the 90% range.
