Even after 100 pct, Whatsapp “word” search results doesn’t show the most recent results. For example: if you search for word “happy” that you just sent minutes ago, the word “happy” shown in search results is the word in last week chat instead of the most recent or the latest one.

But it's making me less productive somehow, started to happen just 10 days ago, and after do some "reality check" on some iPhone users, friends, 2 out of 5 experiencing the same thing. Funny why some phones like that and some aren't like that.

I too have the same problem with my new iPhone 14 plus. Backing up preparing stuck at it is for hours. I tried Bekir205 way but didn’t work.

i have updated to iOS 16.2.

Yes, it works in some way. I was stuck on 2% "Preparing Results". After done your suggestion, moved to 4%. Im stuck on 4% now. =)

I think there is problem with the technology suppliers that they cannot resolve it in a simple way. Its been almost a day and Im still at around %70. Be patient :)
