My phone freezes while I’m talking on the phone. It’s been happening since I bought it in September. Anyone else experiencing this? Some of the things I’ve tried are numerous resets and gotten a new phone. I’ve been to Apple Store 4 times and called Apple support at least 5 times.

This has been the only thing that has worked. Apple refuses to acknowledge this issue. Says Theo unaware of the issue.
Go to settings, accessibility, touch, and then switch the "prevent lock to end call" over so its green. That way when you're on the phone and its frozen, you can lock it and unlock it with the button on the side to unfreeze the screen without hanging the call up.

Same issue for me. It’s happening about 60-70% of all my calls. I can’t even hit the auto reply text when I’m on a call and someone else calls in. I have not went to the Apple Store as of yet and thinking it might be pretty much useless after what I’m reading.
My 14 Pro has been freezing with incoming calls for months. Can’t answer the call, can’t use any functions without restarting the iPhone. I can then use the iPhone without issues until another call comes in. It doesn’t happen every time, but it happens many times per day. I hate calling support because of the time and useless reboots, etc.

Remember when they denied updating the IOS caused faster battery drain or made the prior hardware releases slow to a crawl? If it wasnt affecting my life and business everyday it might be entertaining. Its not like we don't know how this ends. Hello MDL...
Color doesn’t seem to matter. I know people who also have a 14pro max no issues. I have a case open with Apple and now the advisor just ghost me even though they say they will get back to me just email for an update. Haven’t heard anything since Feb.
Same, My iPhone 14 and another family member’s 14 have repeatedly did this since the first week of purchase. Both are only approximately 3 months old. I called Apple support and it was recommended to restart the phone and install new software that has been released the prior day before the call. I have done both phones still continue to experience display freezing.
I’m working now with apple regarding this issue. They replaced once and same issue on the new device. They wiling to replace third time . Will update later if third iPhone doing same thing or not once I get it next week.
I have had the same issue and finally recorded videos with my work phone and got it replace through apple support to still have the exact same issue with the replacement. I don’t know what to do and would tax my 11 I traded in back in a heart beat!
I have the same issues as user Nicole862mn. Adding to her issues, i sometimes have a frozen screen when a call is incoming and there is nothing i can do. Once the calling stops, the freezing stops. i need to lock the screen and then activate it again and all is normal. If these issues are still on, I don't see much hope of getting a fix OTA, my phone is with iOS 16.5 and it is still on.
Same exact issue on phone 3. Refuse to go to Apple for support because the support staff are not knowledgeable in technology. Have many personal horror stories.
if they can’t fix this they better refund.
Be careful what you write. While they can’t fix the issue with our phones they don’t want us to be truthful about the obvious predicament they have.
If apple could just fix this problem, nobody would be posting any rants or complaints that weren’t constructive.
how can we be constructive when we keep getting shafted and told to waste more time with someone else who can’t help.
For me it is any amount of time. I walk home from work & call my boyfriend daily on these walks which are only about 10-17 minutes and it is frozen by the end of every single call. Yesterday I was able to lock and unlock the phone without it hanging up on him though now that I’ve changed that setting.
My iPhone 14 Pro freezes all the time. I can not get the volume up or Mute on, and the only way to get it to stop is to hang up, which is horrible when I am on a business call. When is Apple going to fix this? It has been months, and is horrible. So disappointing.
I have a similar problem. Sometimes when on call the phone completely freezes with black screen and no input possible. A force restart is not possible. All of a sudden, the screen goes back on and the phone acts as if nothing happened. No previous (during freeze) input is processed.

Went through Apple care, the store, $20.00 to park downtown, then nothing, then supervisor who wanted me to mail for repair, then replaced, then paid for new Belkin ultraglass a 2nd time and FIRST DAY IT FREEZES.
It happens, not when in an app... just on the phone.
