Display battery charging progress

I have been using my Apple Watch mini for a little while now, and when I first got it, it used to show the time and how much battery it has while it was charging. It was green. But now, whenever I charge it, it will do the charging animation to show that it has been placed on charge, then it will just go back to my watch face. Is there any way to get this "Charging Mode" back? It was very useful instead of having to unlock the watch and swipe up to see how much charge it has.

This question was asked over a year ago with apparently no solution. I am having the same issue, does anyone have the solution to fix this?

LD, you are becoming a master on Apple Watch. You are indeed correct and the OP had Nightstand Mode set up on their watch. Apparently or perhaps by mistake, they may have turned that feature off.

To the OP:

  1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Scroll down and tap the switch for Nightstand Mode to toggle it on.
