How do I delete duplicate smtp servers that you can see under other?

I had to delete an imap account due to my hosting company telling my email problem was phone related. After some time I reloaded the imap account.

if you go into mail>accounts> account in question >smtp

the identical smtp is under primary and under other.

if I go into another email account smtp under other is the 2 identical servers.

how do I remove the duplicate ?

have a great day thanks

Salutations NitaHugg9,

You cannot remove the SMTP servers here, what you can do though is turn them on or off. Typically, each SMTP server would be attached to a specific email account. If you tap on each, it should show you which account it is connected to and therefore which account’s authentication details are required to use that server.

For example, the server enabled for the account we’re looking at can only use the sign in user name and password for that account. However, as you remove an account the SMTP server and sign in details for that account should also be removed.

Based on this screenshot, we’d surmise that you have four email addresses set up in your Mail account. One using a sugarspoon domain, one using a bladerunners domain and two using an oggwear domain. Again though, tapping on each one should tell you more about the account using it.

Thanks.
