Netflix does not work on Apple TV Gen2

when signing into Netflix it tells me, that the credentials are not known. Netflix support suggested to completely reset the device which I did. It still does not work and Netflix support suggests that the problem is with the device. Device has the latest firmware installed.

If you have alternate email addresses available*, then try changing the email for the account on the web at Netflix, and then using that new email on the Apple TV box. Simply updating the account this way used to be a remedy, although a few reported no success later on. YMMV.
