Amazon Fire Cube Apple TV “Verification Failed”

Apparently, I’m one of many here that’s having this exact issue. So, I’m having an issue with the Apple TV app on my Amazon Fire Cube 1st Gen. I’m attempting to login to my existing Apple account, but I keep getting “Verification Error”. Underneath this error code is the text, “There were errors signing you in. Wait a moment, then try again.”


I’ve tried checking the date and time of the device, which is set correctly. I’ve done a factory reset on my Fire Cube device, and I’ve even reinstalled the Apple TV app. My Fire Cube firmware is up to date for the model. Nothing has worked.


The thing is, the app works perfectly on my other two Gen 1 Fire Cubes, and works perfectly with my Gen 2 Fire Cube. Also, the app isn’t showing a typical Apple TV login screen. Usually, on my other Gen 1 and Gen 2 Fire Cubes, there’s the option of a QR Code at the Apple TV login screen that you can scan. This is not the case, as there is only a manual login option for me with no QR to scan.


I contacted Amazon, and their team told me it was a problem with the Apple TV app, and for me to contact Apple about the issue.


The “solutions” offered on the other posts about this same issue don’t seem to resolve it for any of us. I’m hoping that someone has a working solution for this soon.
